OMEGA RURAL MEDICAL EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH & TRAINING INSTITUTE

Rural Medical Care Provider (RMCP) course is designed to train the student in First aid and basic emergency care and teach them the fundamentals of Information technology,electronic medical records and Telemedicine.

After completion of the course the student is expected to be furnishing the following responsibilities.

  • First Aid provider:1st on call for any health problems in that area.
  • Emergency Assistant: In case of emergency/ natural disasters/ mass casualties – helps the medical teams in saving the casualties.
  • Helping Govt Health programs: Notifying the health authorities of communicable diseases when found &assisting in Maternal and Child health.
  • Telemedicine Clinic:Connecting the Specialist doctors in the city with the patients in rural areas– thus saving time& reducing the cost of care.
  • Home care:In case of chronic bed ridden patients – making home visits- giving first aid.
  • Medical records: Maintaining electronic records of patients in rural areas – thus saving time and money.
  • Family Medical assistant: In patients suffering with multiple diseases – RMCP will Educate and helpfamily members of the patient about the disease and the treatment and guide

Training module:
Part time – distance education and Telemedicine
Full time – Hospital training and Telemedicine
Qualification: SSC / 10Th Std,
Duration: 2 years (Part Time & Telemedicine),
4 Semesters
